The servers, however, will be kept live.
Respawn Entertainment, a game development studio primarily known for Apex Legends and the Titanfall franchise, has announced that it is pulling the original Titanfall, the studio's first game, from digital stores. The reason behind this decision was not stated by the developer, but many fans of the series claim that it is likely due to DDOS attacks, that have been happening for years. The studio added that it would continue to run servers for those who already own the game.
"We've made the decision to discontinue new sales of the original Titanfall game and we'll be removing the game from subscription services on March 1, 2022," said the studio in the announcement.
