Saint John Reimagined in 3D

Inspired by Roberto Ferri's work, sculpted by Leila Khalili, rendered by Hadi Karimi.

Hadi Karimi has shared another enchanting 3D recreation, this time of Saint John, based on the San Giovanni painting by Roberto Ferri.

This gorgeous piece of art was sculpted by Leila Khalili and then brought to completion by Karimi, who groomed and rendered it in Maya using Arnold.

The mid-poly model is striking with its realism, just like other Karimi's works, which can be found on his ArtStationTwitter, and Instagram pages.

If you're interested in the artist's character creation workflow, check out our interview with him where he shared how he made the model of his friend Clara, showed how the hair was done using XGen, and explained why historical figures are challenging to recreate.

You should also take a look at Leila Khalili's other gorgeous highly detailed sculpts on ArtStation and Instagram.
