Halo and Destiny creator is now officially part of the PlayStation family.
Sony has completed its $3.6 billion deal to acquire Halo and Destiny creator Bungie. The companies shared the news on social media, and Sony welcomed Bungie into the PlayStation family.
The news of the acquisition appeared back in January. Bungie will retain creative freedom and the ability to publish games for different platforms.
"I have always admired Bungie's ambitious, ground-breaking games and their focus on creativity, craft and community," said Hermen Hulst, Head of PlayStation Studios.
Earlier, Sony said that buying Bungie is a "major step forward in becoming more multiplatform."
