Star Wars Jedi Survivor's Combat Encounters Compared Based on Difficuly

Respawn's Jason de Heras shared a couple of side-by-side comparison videos showing the difficulty-based differences in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

In case you missed it, several days ago Design Director at Respawn Entertainment Jason de Heras shared a couple of neat demos providing a side-by-side comparison of some of the difficulty-based differences in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the studio's recently-released action-adventure game and a sequel to the 2019 Fallen Order.

For those unaware, the game features five difficulty settings: Story Mode, Jedi Padawan, Jedi Knight, Jedi Master, and Jedi Grand Master, which can be interpreted as Very Easy, Easy, Medium, Hard, and Very Hard, respectively. Besides changing the amount of damage your enemies deal, as well as how aggressive they are, the difficulties also affect the gameplay in general, changing some of Survivor's combat encounters depending on the level of difficulty you have chosen.

One such change, as showcased by de Heras, affects Cal's ability to pull some of the enemies towards him using The Force. As demonstrated by the developer, if you play in Story Mode, you can easily levitate your foes without them resisting and fighting back, while any other difficulty wouldn't be as forgiving:

Another change concerns your fight with Mogu, a fearsome creature implied to be related to Hoth's wampa. As shown in the demo, in every single difficulty, besides Jedi Grand Master, a quick time event is triggered whenever the creature grabs Cal, allowing the player to escape. JGM, however, makes the attack much harder, with Mogu auto-slamming the player the second they are grabbed:
