Street Fighter 6 Logo Might Be a Stock Image

The creator of the original design wants to sell the rights to Capcom.

Street Fighter 6 has just been announced but is already involved in a controversy. The game's logo looks an awful lot like an Adobe Stock image. The logo for Adobe was designed by xcoolee and is available for $79.99 with an extended license.

First, the similarity was pointed out by Ars Technica's Aurich Lawson who tweeted, "I knew it was generic but I didn't realize it was this bad. They searched for "SF" on a stock logo site and rounded a couple corners and added the 6."

Other Twitter users immediately found several other places where the same logo was used, including a French sci-fi convention and a Taiwanese store.

According to IGN, xcoolee wants to sell exclusive rights for the image to Capcom, but the company's side is yet to be heard.

Whatever the story behind the logo's acquisition is, fans are not happy with how it looks compared to Street Fighter's usual colorful logos. Whether it's a placeholder or not is to be seen.
