Survive the Impending Apocalypse in This New City Builder Inspired by Board Games

Check out Dotage, a new turn-based city-builder game created by Solo Developer Michele Pirovano.

If you are a fan of relaxing city-building simulators, roguelites, and strategies that require you to think twice about each decision you want to make, then we've got a perfect game that you should most certainly check out.

Michele Pirovano, a Solo Indie Game Developer from Italy, has just shipped Dotage, an incredible survival roguelite turn-based city builder with stylized pixelated graphics created by Michele over a nine-year period.

Inspired by board games the developer played during childhood, the game puts you in the shoes of the prophetic village elder, tasked with surviving the Apocalypse by assigning workers to daily tasks, growing crops, herding animals, forging tools, upgrading buildings, and producing the resources necessary for your own survival and that of your villagers.

"The memories of the Elder are unclear, so each run will be different, with new buildings to discover," commented the developer on Dotage's roguelite element. "Play with more than 200 buildings, 30 professions, and 70 resources. As you play, the memories of the Elder will come back, unlocking new game mechanics and content, such as new ailments, mysterious VIPs, and new Elders."

Each turn, the Domains, the forces that oversee the game's world, will unleash increasingly formidable events upon your village – from poison and disease to earthquakes and even kittens. Additionally, the game offers multiple difficulty levels, so you can select the one that aligns with your preferred playstyle.

And here are some of the demos shared by the developer:
