Tainted Grail – The Fall of Avalon: 26 Minutes of Gameplay Revealed

Awaken Realms developer will walk you through the game and show you what to expect.

Take a look at this 26-minute-long gameplay video of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon – an open-world RPG based on the board game of the same name. One of Awaken Realms' developers will guide you through some of the game's areas and talk about its development.

The footage provided is from the pre-alpha version, so don't expect everything to stay the same in the final cut. While the NPCs are still lacking movement during dialogues, Awaken Realms has implemented a system to fix this issue, so the characters won't be so stiff after release, naturally.

You'll be able to explore the vast world of the game eventually, but in Early Access, the exploration will be limited.

Apart from the world, Awaken Realms showed the Cave Dweller enemy and the stealth system. You can loot bodies, taking their weapons and clothes as well as crafting ingredients, some of which can be used for cooking or alchemy.

Your choices matter in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, and the available decisions open as you explore the world and find new solutions.

"The world of Tainted Grail is a gritty, dark reimagination of Arthurian legends — an epic dark fantasy setting in which humans arrived at the cursed island of Avalon in search of paradise, only to find a hellish land tainted by the Wyrdness — a mysterious force warping the reality in a chaotic manner," states the game's description.

The video doesn't spoil much lore but provides a glimpse at the game's dark storyline where you'll have to "balance the shades of gray" and where there are no good answers.

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is expected to be released in Early Access this year. You can find it on Steam. Also, don't forget to join our Reddit page and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
