Or at least the company has "no current plans" for them.

Take-Two has announced it's "currently working on a significant cost reduction program across [its] entire business to maximize [its] margins." We all know how this usually goes, so the first question that pops up in anyone's mind is, "Are the employees' jobs in danger?"
According to Take-Two's CEO Strauss Zelnick, workers can relax as the company has "no current plans" for layoffs, although the specifics of the program are still being discussed.
"We haven't put any meat on the bones of that yet," Zelnick said (via IGN). "I would just note that our biggest line item of expense is actually marketing. We do think we can optimize that. We also have third-party expenses, software, other vendors, supply services. And we always find opportunity there. The hardest thing to do is to lay off colleagues, and we have no current plans."
The company is doing well at the moment, it seems. GTA 5 has sold over 195 million units, adding to the overall 420 million sales of the whole series. However, other studios under Take-Two weren't so lucky in the past. Last year, it cut jobs at Private Division to "better align" the organization with its long-term priorities. Later, the developer behind NBA 2K, Visual Concepts, was also caught in layoffs (and then again, just days ago.)
The fact that Take-Two has no plans for layoffs now doesn't mean they won't happen later, but let's hope for the best.
In other news, the company has recently denied accusations of microtransaction theft, saying virtual currencies are "fictions created by game publishers."
