The setup was made utilizing Unreal's Geometry Script plug-in.
Senior Gameplay Programmer Elhoussine Mehnik, whom you might know for the amazing experiments with Geometry Script, a neat plug-in for UE5 that provides the ability to generate and edit mesh geometry via Blueprints and Python, enabling dynamic mesh editing, slicing, applying Boolean operations, and more, impresses us once again with yet another fantastic project.
This time, the creator has leveraged the plug-in to set up a Tears of the Kingdom-style vehicle building system, which enables its author to cut out pieces of a mesh and then assemble the cut-outs into a skateboard-like contraption. According to the developer, the attach points "are created at run-time based on surface hit/triangles info".
