Is this Game Trying to Kill Me? is a blend of horror and first-person puzzle-solving. Players find themselves trapped inside a remote cabin in the forest, where the cabin's owner proposes a computer game as a means of securing freedom.

The game, drawing significant inspiration from Inscryption, features a unique meta concept of a game within a game and it offers multiple endings and various possibilities for the player's death. Further footage shared by the developer showcases an interesting way of inserting coins in the game:
The developer, whose name is Stately Snail on Steam is based in Russia. They aimed to complete the game by the end of this year and release it in November.
Looking into the history of Stately Snail reveals that they began creating games about 10 years ago as their first game, One More Dungeon, was released in 2015. Stately Snail has several other titles to their credit, including Access Denied: Escape, their most recent project before this one, Don't Touch this Button!, Forests, Fields and Fortresses, and others, all of which have garnered mostly positive reviews on Steam.
