CD Projekt Red concluded the research phase.
Looking at the first quarter of 2022, CD Projekt Red announced it had concluded the research phase of The Witcher 4, and the game had entered pre-production.
"We have recently concluded the research phase for the first game in the new Witcher saga, which means that from now on further development expenditures will be capitalized on our balance sheet," adds president Adam Kiciński.
This means it's going to be a while before the game's release. For now, we just know that it will be powered by Unreal Engine 5.
