This Cozy Lo-Fi Game Will Take You To A Near-Future Wasteland

Check out this new Unity-powered adventure that can be now added to a wishlist on Steam.

Thomas van den Berg, the creator of Kingdom: New Lands, has recently joined us for an interview to tell us about their first project, the early development of Cloud Gardens, and using PixPaint to make 3D pixel art.

Now, the developer is back with more exciting news. Thomas announced that GARBAGE COUNTRY, the developer's new game powered by Unity can now be added to a wishlist on Steam. The developer has been working on a new project that further explores the style and techniques used in the creator's previous games. "It's still early days, and honestly, I'm still piecing things together, but I'm excited to share it with you," wrote the developer.

The game will offer you to explore a vast abandoned world in a trusty truck. GARBAGE COUNTRY will have a near-future wasteland, rendered in 3D pixel art, "holding faded memories of what used to be."

Among other things, the project will let you explore vast procedural landscapes, punctuated with hand-made landmarks. Plus, you can have fun with vehicle physics: players will be able to drive and unlock different vehicles to make their way through the wasteland.

Little is known about the release date but we'll make sure to keep you updated so stay tuned. You can add the game to your wishlist here.
