Build your base and hundreds of units to take over the digital Earth, alone or with friends in Vitali Kirpu's IAH: INTERNET WAR.
According to seasoned Game & Software Developer Vitali Kirpu, what began as a military research project has transformed into a unique RTS MMO experience. Inspired by games like Counter-Strike, Starcraft 2, and Planetside 2, IAH: INTERNET WAR is a futuristic cyberpunk project where strategic thinking and social skills are key to victory.
Set in a world of persistent mega servers that represent a digital version of Earth, players can construct bases and command hundreds of units to conquer the virtual planet, either solo or with friends. Each campaign spans 6 to 12 months, offering an evolving and long-term challenge.
With the demo on top of the article, the developer shared an update on his research progress, highlighting a multithreaded, general-purpose pathfinding module. This system takes real-time inputs and generates future outputs that ensure accurate positional coordinates for multi-agent environments where both speed and visual fidelity are crucial. Apparently, it's very performant, capable of resolving the positions of about 1,000 agents at 60 FPS.
