Tutorial: How to Set Up and Bake Assets in Blender

Quixel released a new tutorial showcasing one of the baking workflows with its assets in Blender to go on with texturing in Mixer.

Learn the backing approach to assets in Blender from the Quixel team. Tyler will guide you through a quite complicated process of baking your asset and setting it up to export and work on texturing the mesh in Quixel Mixer.

The tutorial shows the workflow in Blender and includes the following production steps:

  • Baking normal map
  • Setting up a cag
  • Rendering additional data to your texture bakes
  • Baking material IDs, Ambient Occlusion, and Curvature maps
  • Model Export
