UVPackmaster 3.1.0 for Blender Released with Its First Tutorial

The update adds Mac support, optimization for heavy UV maps, and other features.

In case you missed it

Previous version

UVPackmaster 3, a fully-featured UV packing engine for Blender, got a new update along with its first video tutorial presenting the Groups To Tiles mode, which was significantly improved so that you now have more control over the entire process.

As for the changes in version 3.1.0, UVPackmaster now supports Macs on Intel and Apple M1 processors.

Moreover, the update offers significant performance optimization for UV maps containing over a million UV faces. It's claimed that the new engine release can pack a UV map containing 15 million faces in about 160 seconds.

Another feature introduced in this version is Topology – a new mode for aligning islands. It takes into account not only the vertex positions of two UV islands but also how the vertices are connected.

Other improvements include the ability to apply automatic grouping to a grouping scheme for islands, increased the Texture Size maximum value to 32K, and bug fixes.

The update is available for free if you already have UVPackmaster 3.
