Navillus Studio shared a behind-the-scenes look at their latest XJ-9 animation.
In case you missed it, back in May, a talented Stylized 3D Animator known as Navillus Studio added another gem to their series of My Life as a Teenage Robot-inspired short films by sharing a new chucklesome Blender-made animation imagining a 3D model of the show's protagonist, Jenny Wakeman, quite literally breaking the fourth wall and escaping her computer prison into the real world.
Recently, the creator provided an unexpected yet welcome follow-up on the project by showcasing something we all love – a viewport vs. final render comparison that demonstrated some of the short movie's shots from an artist's perspective.
As is often the case with such showcases, the usually unseen side of animation is just as comedic as the final work itself, featuring floating characters, broken models, and more. You can watch the entire comparison breakdown attached below or by visiting the creator's Twitter page:
