Tech giants seem to be in a hurry to show off their fastest-ever charging technologies, with Xiaomi's Redmi Note 12 Explorer introducing its 210W and then Realme GT Neo 5 catching up with 240W.
But Xiaomi is not going to stop the innovations: its subsidiary Redmi has presented a new 300W fast-charging technology that should fill a 4,100 mAh battery in under five minutes.
It looks like something from the future, but the video the company shared on Weibo proves it's real. However, the same video doesn't exactly show the promised power, it reaches 290W for several seconds, so 300W seems to be a potential cap.
Despite that, it's still impressive and moves Realme GT Neo 5 from its "world's-fastest-charging" pedestal.
