The first part of the fan-made Chronicles of the Second War is available.
If you want to see Warcraft 2 given a more modern look, you're in luck: fans from LoreCraft Designs have finally released the first part of Warcraft: Chronicles of the Second War – a recreation of the beloved game on Warcraft 3: Reforged's engine.
Chronicles of the Second War is a custom campaign available for those who have a copy of Reforged. The first part, Tides of Darkness, will let you conquer Azeroth in the name of the Horde.

The project features:
- 17 missions
- Cinematics capturing and expanding on important lore moments
- Lore conveyed through immersing gameplay, bringing you back to the WC2 era
- Voice acting for over 1500 lines, from unit quotes to cinematics
- Soundtrack recreating original Warcraft II music
- Heroes and characters introduced through gameplay and cameos
- Oil resource system from classic Warcraft II
- Boss battles with engaging and challenging mechanics inspired by World of Warcraft

It took the team over three years to bring the campaign to life, making the 1995 game look like the 2020 one. Now, they will focus on fixing bugs "after the team have their own much-needed rest."
