3DF Zephyr 5.0 Available

3D Flow has released a new version of its photogrammetry tool 3DF Zephyr.

The update brings significant speed improvements and quality of the reconstruction, a new photoconsistency filter for more realistic sharp edges, a new algorithm to deal with huge datasets at a much lower memory footprint, plus an upgraded texture algorithm for sharper textures.

You can now use WIC for faster image loading and better raw file format support. There's also a new toolbar to improve productivity, spline support in drawing elements, and more.

The team also presented 3DF Scarlet, a new standalone app for laser scan registration that comes with 3DF Zephyr 5.0.  It is said to be capable of dealing with much bigger datasets than 3DF Zephyr for laser scan registration.
