A Look at Bramble The Mountain King's Water Lilies in Unreal

Dimfrost Studios shared a new gameplay demo for their upcoming horror adventure inspired by Nordic folklore.

Dimfrost Studio, a team of developers working on a horror adventure Bramble: The Mountain King, has released a new demo of their upcoming game. The demo showcases a short section of gameplay from Bramble, showing the main character Olle jumping on water lilies with lifelike physics and getting through thick and realistic mud in order to escape Näcken, an evil water spirit from the Nordic mythology that will be present in the game. Besides demonstrating Bramble's anxiety-inducing gameplay, the new demo shows the capabilities of Unreal Engine when it comes to setting up game physics.

In case you missed it, Bramble: The Mountain King is a story-driven horror adventure inspired by Nordic folklore. Announced in June 2021, the game is being developed using Unreal Engine and is set to be released next year on PC and consoles.

Recently, 80 Level, in collaboration with the Unreal Engine team, also conducted an interview with the developers in order to learn more about the upcoming title and understand how UE helps them create an immersive game experience. You can check out the full interview here.
