A MAZE. / Berlin Is Back for Its 15th Edition This May
One of the most beloved arthouse game festivals in the world is returning to Berlin this spring.
A MAZE. / Berlin 2026 will take place from May 13–16 across several iconic venues including Silent Green, Panke Club, and Urban Spree, with hybrid components connecting the physical festival to the virtual world.
Now in its 15th year, A MAZE. brings together arthouse game developers, digital artists, world builders, and playful media creators from around the globe for four days of talks, panels, workshops, performances, exhibitions, and networking. The festival celebrates the intersection of games, art, and culture, well beyond the mainstream.
Here's what to expect:
Wed, May 13 · Opening Ceremony at Silent Green (20:00) The festival kicks off with game and playful media exhibitions, and performances by Moshe Linke & Philip Wölk and alpharats across Betonhalle, Transmediale Studio, and Kuppelhalle.
May 14 & 15 · Day Program at Silent Green (from 10:00) Talks, panels, workshops, performances, and networking for all kinds of playful creators.
Fri, May 15 · A MAZE. Awards 2026 at Silent Green (20:00–21:30) The award ceremony hosted by Tim Rogers, with music by Gelbart.
Sat, May 16 · Public Play Day at Silent Green (12:00–18:00) Open to everyone: playful workshops, the Amazing X-Market, performances, and all game exhibitions welcoming the whole family.
Sat, May 16 · 15th Anniversary Party: Positive Chaos at Urban Spree & b-dome (21:00) Games and playful media installations, fulldome experiences, a queer performance by Clitbait, and music by NelesOn, Gewalt, TIA, Patric Catani, Anita Drink, and Bleach.
