A New App to Turn Phones & Webcams Into Full-Body Trackers For $100

This cheap solution looks pretty impressive.

A team called Akiya Research Institute VR Lab shared a look at an app that is said to turn phones and webcams into a multi-view body tracking system.

Tweets from the team's account share details on their solution called MocapForAll which lets you use cameras from smartphones and webcams for full-body motion tracking. The tech is said to be using deep learning algorithms to track motion.

The new solution requires using at least two cameras but you can also plug in additional ones for better results. A recent Tweet says the app will be available for around $100, with a time-limited free trial.

What do you think about the demos? What possible limitations can you think of?
