The iRender team provided insightful details about their newly launched PaaS render farm, walked us through the latest possibilities for Cinema 4D and Redshift users, and talked about its recent updates and new features.
Since June 2023, iRender has become the official render farm partner of Maxon. We also release a whole lot of updates and new features, from servers with pre-installed software and licenses to a new desktop application. Explore how they leverage your rendering process.
Good news for Cinema 4D & Redshift users
First of all, becoming the official render farm partner of Maxon enables iRender to provide our clients with more exclusive benefits. After a month of development, in July, the iRender team is excited to announce a new option for rendering Cinema 4D and Redshift, the PaaS render farm. Specifically, we offer multi-GPU configurations with pre-installed Cinema 4D and Redshift, and licenses.
What does it mean? It means that now you can use Cinema 4D and Redshift software and render your scenes right after you boot up our remote server. Before, on the IaaS render farm, you need to install Cinema 4D, and Redshift, and use your licenses. But it is no longer the case anymore.
A new PaaS render farm is available at iRender
iRender is a GPU-accelerated render farm that is based on IaaS (Infrastructure as a service) model. To put it simply, we provide powerful remote servers where you can access and run your renders or other tasks on them. It is as simple as using your own PC. Especially, we give you full control of the remote machines. Therefore, you can control your workflow – your rendering process on iRender render farm.
This IaaS model is very strong. It is capable of almost anything, from full software compatibility to complete control over projects. But still, we can do it better. That’s why iRender expanded to provide a new PaaS (Platform as a service) render farm besides the IaaS one. How is PaaS different from IaaS?
Basically, our new PaaS render farm is pretty much the same as the IaaS render farm. But the PaaS-based servers come with pre-installed software and licenses. So the remote server now becomes a ready-to-use platform, and all you need to do is simply render your projects.
All in all, PaaS is a more advanced render farm than IaaS. It allows you to take advantage of all IaaS strengths such as full control over projects and workflow, while eliminating inconveniences such as installation time.
Why should use iRender for your Redshift projects?
You may ask why should use iRender out of literally hundreds of render farms out there. It makes sense to say our IaaS and PaaS models make us exceptional. Here are the main advantages of using iRender render farm.
Compatibility with all software, renderers, plugins, or scripts
iRender servers are compatible with all applications. You can install any software and do not need to worry about compatibility. Whether you use uncommon 3D software, renderer, plugin, or unpopular combination, you can always use them on our remote servers. Moreover, you can run scripts or code (like in Houdini, Blender, etc). Because we grant you the ability to use the machines by yourself like using your personal computer.
Top-notch hardware
Our render farm is equipped with NVIDIA RTX 3090 and especially the beast RTX 4090. They not only deliver enormous performance for creators but also have a tremendous 24 VRAM. On top of that, the servers are equipped with fast CPUs - the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5975WX and 3955WX. With many cores and high clock speeds, these processors prevent any possible bottlenecks and help you to extract mesh data, load textures, and prepare scene data more quickly.
Multiple GPU packages for different uses
iRender render farm is flexible as well as scalable. There are a variety of servers from single GPU to multiple GPUs of RTX 4090 and RTX 3090. It means that you select one server that is suitable for your demand and your software, whether it is with one, two, four, six, or eight GPUs. Currently, our most powerful option for rendering is the 6 x RTX 4090 server.
Full control over projects and workflow
With iRender, you are able to control your rendering process. You need to modify the scenes while rendering because you are not really satisfied with the renders. All you need to do is to pause the render, edit your files and resume rendering. It is easy as that.
Full setup and license - PaaS render farm exclusive
This is a new feature available at iRender. Now you have the option to pre-install the software or select the license you want to use. Once you connect to the remote server, you can render scenes immediately without additional steps. Right now, C4D & Redshift are ready to serve, and we continue to expand the license support for many other applications.
In addition, there are a lot of useful features to make your workflow more seamless and convenient. In July, we also released a new all-in-one desktop app, where you can perform all operations to render your projects within just one application.
Furthermore, we offer several discounts and bonuses such as volume discounts, fixed rental pricing, and more. Especially, you can get 100% extra render credits for your first payment during the promotion to celebrate our partnership with Maxon.
