Adobe has recently shared a preview of Physics Whiz, their new experimental new physics-aware tool for laying out 3D scenes. The toolkit lets users place objects in real-time with realistic rigid body collisions, inertia, and gravity.
The team describes the new tool as a faster way to set up 3D scenes realistically. It mixes “a user’s intuitive sense of physical manipulation with the precision of digital tools”.
Users will get the ability to move 3D objects in the viewport. These objects will respond to simple physics properties: gravity, collisions, etc. The new tool is meant for less technically minded artists.
Adobe didn't guarantee that the tool will be released commercially, but we hope to get news from the team soon.
