Last Train Home is a new historical real-time strategy game that combines RPG, tactical skirmishes, survival sim, and narrative history. Developed by Ashborne Games and published by THQ Nordic on November 28, the game will immerse you in the chaos of the Russian Civil War.

Last Train Home brings a unique perspective to the PC strategy game genre. The game adapts the real-life experiences of Czech Legionnaires who embarked on a dangerous journey across Russia and Siberia on the cusp of World War I and the onset of the Russian Civil War. Their survival depended on fighting through each station to reach eastern Russia and board a boat home. Even for history enthusiasts, this story is likely to be little known and unexpected to learn about through a video game.

The game's plot is based on real events. The developers emphasize that players will need to carefully strategize to complete tasks efficiently and avoid casualties in battles by making skillful use of the fighters' abilities.

The decisions players make within the game will have a direct impact on the fate of their comrades. Additionally, players must raise the level of crew members, upgrade their abilities, equip them, offer awards, and elevate ranks.
