A Realistic Fire Created with JangaFX's EmberGen
JangaFX has demonstrated the fire-creating capabilities of EmberGen.
For those who don't know, EmberGen is JangaFX's real-time volumetric fluid simulation tool that can instantly simulate, render, and export flipbooks, image sequences, and VDB volumes. With EmberGen, you can create anything from fire to magic wisps in real-time. But the highlight of the tool is undoubtedly its ability to create stunning fire, smoke, and explosions. EmberGen is currently used by over 150 leading game studios.
Recently JangaFX has showcased the capabilities of EmberGen related to realistic fire simulation. You can see the demonstration in the tweet attached above. The result features both fire and smoke particles, was captured directly in EmberGen's viewport, and looks absolutely marvelous.
What's more, the company has released a node graph that explains how the project was made:
The latest version of EmberGen was released back in November 2021. Back then, the update brought animated mesh imports, camera imports, backplates, holdouts, an entirely new UI, a new renderer, and a bunch of other new features. "Our team has worked tirelessly on this release and this is our proudest achievement yet. This version of EmberGen is production-ready even though it still has the beta tag on it," wrote the team back then. You can learn more about EmberGen here.
