Getting a spot at this year's Gamescom Opening Night Live (ONL) to show a game's trailer is not a cheap deal, as it could cost up to $288,000 for a two-minute showcase.
TechRaptor has spotted the price listed on the Gamescom's official website. The cost decreases depending on the length of the spot, with a 90-second hit costing $234,000, a 60-second spot going for $179,600, and the cheapest choice is a 30-second spot priced at approximately $125,000.

If you think these prices are exaggerated and would scare away participants, then you're mistaken. The fact is that the ONL Main Show 2024 is already sold out (thanks to a trusty internet archive, we can still see the prices now), leaving only sponsorships in the ONL Pre Show available for booking. It's important to note that some games are editorially chosen and secure a spot on Opening Night Live without paying these charges.
Some might feel numb when hearing these numbers, as the cost of showcasing trailers at another major event hosted by Geoff Keighley, the Summer Game Fest, is even higher. The price here almost doubles that of Gamescom ONL, with one-minute trailers costing $250,000, one-and-a-half-minute trailers at $350,000, two-minute trailers at $450,000, and two-and-a-half-minute trailers at $550,000.
