Adobe Announces Price Increase for Creative Cloud Subscriptions

The changes will affect only Creative Cloud for Enterprise, Creative Cloud for Teams, and monthly All Apps subscriptions for individuals.

Adobe announced it is to raise prices on its Creative Cloud subscriptions. The changes will concern Creative Cloud for Enterprise, Creative Cloud for Teams, and monthly All Apps subscriptions for individuals. The price change will not affect the individual users who are subscribed to All Apps with a prepaid annual payment plan.

Creative Cloud for individuals single app plans, Photography plan, Express Premium plan, Creative Cloud for students and teachers All Apps plan, and All Creative Cloud for Education plans will be excluded from the price changes as well.

The changes will come into effect starting users' next renewal date on or after April 27, 2022, and for Teams and All Apps subscribers, the prices will rise between 3.8% and 6.3%. As for Enterprise subscriptions, their prices will vary by plan.

This is the first time when Adobe changes prices over the past four years. The previous price rise took place in 2018 only affecting users in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Currently, the changes concern selected countries across the Americas, most of Europe, and Japan.

Here are the plans that were affected by the price changes:

  • Annual subscription for individuals All Apps plan billed monthly will increase from $52.99 to $54.99 per month;
  • Monthly subscription for individuals All Apps will increase from $79.49 to $82.49 per month;
  • Subscriptions to single apps for teams will increase from $33.99 per month to $35.99 per month;
  • All Apps for teams will increase from $79.99 per month to $84.99 per month.

Adobe claims that the price rises are caused by changes to local market circumstances like tax rates and "improvements to Creative Cloud" as the company added new services, features, and content as well as new apps including Illustrator and Photoshop on the iPad, AR authoring tool Aero, and digital painting app Fresco.

    “All apps” should include substance especially if they are going to charge more

    I am a senior in Social Security. I have been using Photoshop since it was first made and have had everything from Photoshop to 7, to CC and now have to use it at the prescription rate. I can barely afford the 10.99 per month on my budget. Adobe just doubled the cost overnight and now, after 20+ years of using it, I can no longer afford to. This is not fair!!!

    Bunch of crooks.  Man, I hope the open-source world develops some stronger alternatives soon.
