Adobe Released Free Shared Asset Review Tool Substance 3D Reviewer

Works on desktop or in room-scale VR.

Developed in partnership with Meta and optimized for the Meta Quest VR headset, Adobe Substance 3D Reviewer is a new platform designed for reviewing and sharing 3D models. It enables seamless collaboration by allowing multiple users, on VR or desktop, to "explore and discuss 3D assets together in a shared virtual environment".

The workflow is simple: just drag and drop assets into a browser window using the desktop version. 3D Reviewer supports a wide range of common 3D file formats, and users can also leave feedback via voice or text comments, which can be pinned directly to specific areas of the model. According to Adobe, Substance 3D Reviewer offers "spatial precision at true 1:1 scale, revealing proportions and dimensional relationships that 2D screens can't, enabling accurate evaluations of ergonomics and fit impossible to judge from screenshots or turntables".

If you have an Adobe account, you can start using Substance 3D Reviewer on desktop immediately, or download it from the Meta Horizon Store to experience it in VR on a supported headset.
