FlyKnight is ready to dismember his enemies the old-school way.
Beware of the righteous Sir Buzzalot the Fly-Knight, a brave warrior tasked to destroy the evil witch in the depths of Lunamoth's Lair in FlyKnight, a small game where you play as a, well, half-fly and half-knight.
Inspired by King's Field and Shadow Tower Abyss and definitely bearing resemblance to RuneScape, this indie adventure will leave you at nostalgia's mercy while you're exploring dungeons and enjoying old-school gameplay.
"Slow, heavy, dark, and challenging," FlyKnight is a short experience created by Wabbaboy, which will take about 30 minutes to finish and leave you craving more. After all, who doesn't want to walk around chopping off enemies' limbs?
Thankfully, this might not be the end of the fly knight as its creator is thinking of making the experience into something bigger once he releases his other project, Sorceress – a first-person action-adventure game "with a strong focus on flexible systems," where you dual-wield magic artifacts.

When starting working on FlyKnight, Wabbaboy wanted to make a game without textures and lighting in Unreal Engine. The developer removed directional and sky lights from the scene, made a sphere radius area from the camera to simulate depth perception, put the shading mask through several nodes, and then tweaked it until everything looked right. A detailed explanation of the shader creation is available here.
