An Artist Simulates Sticky Rice With Cinema 4D & Redshift

One more outstanding work from Hirokazu Yokohara.

Hirokazu Yokohara, a renowned 3D Artist and Generalist whose incredible simulations and visual effects made using various 3D software you all know and love, has recently unveiled a new delicious-looking project.

This time, Hirokazu presented a stunning simulation of someone roughly loosening cold rice with a spoon. According to the author, the project was created using Maxon's Cinema 4D and rendered with Redshift. Additionally, the creator seems to have utilized X-Particles, INSYDIUM's advanced particle and VFX system for C4D that enables complete control over particle simulations in the software.

And here are some of Hirokazu's most recent projects:

Previously, the artist also demonstrated a stunning 2D-looking 3D animation inspired by 90s anime aesthetics, a real-time fur simulation made in UE5, a cool deepfake face made with Maya and DeepFace Livea beautiful real-time red and blue fire and smoke FX, and a couple of neat smoke FX made in UE5 and Niagara, showed how to simulate clothes in Blender with mocap datahow to set up a realistic face with Maya and Ziva Face Trainer, and how to utilize Apple's RoomPlan for 3D environment modelingexperimented with soft body simulations in Cinema 4D, and turned a 2D image into a 3D mesh with Blender.
