Animator Makes a Gorilla Breakdance With Houdini & Redshift

Tomas Kral's digital 3D zoo got a new realistic animal.

Tomas Kral, a CG Artist and Photographer whose incredible digital animals caught our attention numerous times in the past, has showcased one more incredible 3D creature recently added to the digital zoo.

This time, Kral has presented a captivating animation featuring a breakdancing gorilla, created using Houdini, a versatile 3D procedural software designed for modeling, rigging, animation, VFX, look development, lighting, and rendering in various industries such as film, TV, advertising, and video games, developed by SideFX. Additionally, the artist employed Maxon's Redshift to render the mesmerizing sequence.

Previously, the author also painted the poor creature pink, noting that it would have been "hard and dangerous" to do so in real life:

Earlier, the artist also demonstrated an impressive llama model, a realistic pigeon animation, an adorable digital hamster, and a couple of photorealistic goats. You can check out the entirety of Tomas' zoo by visiting the author's Twitter and ArtStation pages.
