The studio said it had a "particularly difficult" last couple of years.
Aragami and Aragami 2 developer Lince Works has announced it will be closing its doors in April and putting all future project development on hold indefinitely.
The studio shared that this decision was taken with a "heavy heart" and explained that "the last couple of years have been particularly difficult" for the company.
"The last couple of years have been particularly difficult as we shifted towards the development of new IPs and a new course for the company," Lince Works said in a statement. "We were ambitious about what we wanted to achieve as a studio, but sadly, although we made good progress, the economic context was not favorable and we ran out of time."
The studio assured fans that both Aragami and Aragami 2, along with their online co-op modes, will continue to be available across all platforms.
Founded in 2014, Lince Works launched the first installment of Aragami two years later. Its success led to the release of a sequel in 2021. As per its website, the company had several "new top secret projects" in development during the time of the announcement.
