Ubisoft is taking a few more months to prepare for the release of the controversial game Assassin's Creed Shadows, stating that it needs additional time to enhance the overall experience and refine some of the game's key features. It appears that Ubisoft is working on incorporating fan-favored features to help improve the game's reputation.

In a Reddit AMA session, a fan was curious about how the dialogue options and choices in the game will be compared with those in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Creative director Jonathon Dumont shared that "choices play less of a branching role than on Odyssey on the core narrative."
Given the fact that there have been varied opinions on the branching dialogues, the team has offered the option so players can totally be free from making choices. "We have incorporated an option called CANON MODE which allows you to play the game with choices already made for you, to give you a choice free experience. Hope this makes it fun for everyone."
Many fans have welcomed the addition of this feature, particularly those who struggle to make decisions or just want to avoid RPG elements as much as possible, calling it a nice and creative idea. In addition to bringing up the canon mode, Dumont also shared that the length of the new title is "comparable" to Origins/Odyssey and Valhalla.
