During a recent 2024 roadmap, Maximum Entertainment announced that they are teaming up with Paramount to bring a competitive multiplayer fighting game set in the universe of the beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series.
The game has no title yet since the team is still working on it. As Maximum's CEO Christina Seelye stated, it will be a multiplayer fighting game with a focus on competitive elements. The developers aim to launch the game in early access in 2025.
"We are thrilled to announce that we have entered into a partnership with Paramount Consumer Products to develop a competitive multiplayer fighting game set in Avatar: The Last Airbender universe," stated Seelye. "This competitive fighting game is set to release into early access in 2025. We are thrilled to be bringing this project to life and we will have so much more to share on this game in the future."
As of now, the companies haven't shared information about the platforms on which the game will be released. However, Paramount and Maximum have assured that further details will be disclosed at a later date.
Adding to that, the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the live-action adaptation produced by Netflix, will be released on February 22, 2024.
