Backfirewall_: Tragicomic Adventure Set in Smartphone Released

Take on the role of an update assistant and save the operating system from deletion.

Meet Backfirewall_ – a humorous first-person tragicomic adventure set inside a smartphone, where you play as an update assistant trying to save the "chatty" operating system OS9 from deletion.

You will go through different areas of the phone and come across apps with their own personalities and opinions about their boss, the update, and the "godlike" user.

There is also a puzzle aspect to the game, which will have you think hard and come up with clever solutions.

The developers at Naraven Games offer you to review terminal errors in RAM, find or create bugs, trim binary trees, party in the Speakers’ exclusive nightclub, navigate through the Wi-Fi bureaucracy, and delete data using cheat codes.

There is a place and time for some gossip as well: chat with quirky pieces of software and uncover their stories one by one or all at once. The creators promise a lot of "meta satirical humor" and breaking the fourth wall.

Backfirewall_ is available for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Get it here and don't forget to join our 80 Level Talent platformour Reddit page, and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
