Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Ranked Play was finally available this Wednesday. However, the excitement it brought to players didn't last long, as it was soon ruined by hackers and cheaters.
While it aims to offer a "competitive experience for the most skilled and dedicated players," it has become a party for no others but cheaters and makes players who strictly follow the rules feel too bad to continue with it.
Ranked Play undoubtedly has been loved by many fans with its exclusive rewards; players can earn seasonable rewards and ranked skins, especially the Top 250 Champion Operator Skin, which "features a fiery skull-headed Operator resplendent with a glowing crown" and global weapon builds among the many benefits. To access it, players will need to secure 50 wins in multiplayer to be qualified, and this will also let Ricochet, CoD's "multi-faceted approach to combat cheating," have a match history to examine.
This access qualification somehow doesn't make any difference, and players question if Ricochet is actually working when so many cheaters have occupied the event. The footage below from CharlieIntel, who mourned that the game is "basically unplayable with the amount of hackers people are experiencing," and ModernWarzone directly shows the speechless moments of players:
Making it worse is the absence of Killcams, which is another complaint from some players. Even though seeing how one is killed won't stop the behavior of cheating, at least it offers a chance to report those with misbehaviors rather than sitting idle and can't do anything to the much-hated cheaters.
