Blasphemous Sequel Will Arrive in 2023

The game, currently in its early stages, will be a follow-up to the multi-award-winning 2019 action-platformer.

Team17 and The Game Kitchen revealed they are working on a Blasphemous sequel, which is set to launch in 2023. The companies also announced Wounds of Eventide, a new free content update for the original Blasphemous that reveals the game’s true ending.

The update is arriving for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 9th December, offering new bosses, areas, and items.

"We’re so excited to finally announce that we’ve started work on a Blasphemous sequel, the community has shown so much love for the first game and we can’t wait to share more when we can," The Game Kitchen said. "New beginnings also mean new endings, and Wounds of Eventide is exactly that, it’s the final installment for the original Blasphemous and we hope people love playing the new content as much as we loved creating it.”

The team has also shared a video of a live orchestral track recorded by a selection of traditional and authentic procession musicians:
