Mike Ybarra addressed a rumor from Brazil on Twitter.
On July 10, a banner appeared on the website of the Brazilian payment service PicPay, suggesting that Diablo IV was already available through the Game Pass subscription. Then, this image was removed, but players noticed it and had some questions that needed to be answered.
Many media outlets speculated on the possible arrival of Diablo IV on Game Pass after the incident, and some of them even noted that PicPay is an official partner of Blizzard in Brazil, so they questioned whether the company's plan has just leaked online accidentally.
On July 11, the situation was addressed by Blizzard's CEO, Mike Ybarra. On Twitter, in response to the alleged "leak," the President said, "This is not happening." It appears we can forget about the rumor of the game coming to Game Pass.
Do you think that's a good idea to release the game on the service or stick with the premium model and continue making money on extra goods in the game? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
