After 11 years since Diablo III's release, Blizzard has revealed that it will no longer be providing content support for the game starting from Season 30.
Blizzard announced that following Season 30, Diablo III will see a repeat of previous seasons in a conversation with Wowhead. According to the company, Season 29 will still introduce new content, although Blizzard acknowledged that the update will be smaller in scope than the previous one.
Going forward, future seasons of Diablo III will incorporate content from previous ones, with Blizzard planning to merge mechanics and cosmetic rewards that have appeared in the game before.
Blizzard is currently shifting its focus from Diablo III to the development of the fourth installment in the action-RPG series. As a result, the company will no longer provide active support for Diablo III.
After its initial release on May 15, 2012, the first season of Diablo III began on August 29, 2014. Blizzard's upcoming release, Diablo IV, is scheduled for June 6, 2023.
