"Our primary objective for Helldivers 2 was to meticulously design an introductory cinematic experience that drew inspiration from the iconic style of American military recruitment commercials with a charismatic spokesperson that weaved seamless humor and motivational vigor into the narrative without tipping into excessive exaggeration", commented Goodbye Kansas Studios.
According to the studio, Unreal Engine became an integral part of the pre-production process and workflow, providing a complex and visually immersive environment, empowering to establish tangible layouts while working with storyboards as well.
The real-time rendering capabilities seamlessly brought scenes to life during the motion capture shoot at Goodbye Kansas Studios' headquarters, allowing for creative optimization.
