If Jurassic Park was a game.
If you are a fan of horror games and wish to try something new in this genre, take a look at PALEOPHAGE, an upcoming indie survival horror created by LogDev, a solo developer.
In this game, it is not supernatural creatures that you meet and fight but long-extinct, bloodthirsty dinosaurs that became alive after an unfortunate science experiment, as can be anticipated from the description on Steam. Other prehistoric creatures like cruel scorpions also lurk around every corner of a large urban city, spreading terror to its inhabitants. Overall, PALEOPHAGE features ten enemy types and six upgradable weapons to effectively protect the characters from horrible danger.
The developer showed some of the creatures that players encounter in PALEOPHAGE:
Apart from fighting and running from terrible creatures, players will need to solve dinosaur-themed puzzles. Also, according to LogDev, the game's narrative is straightforward, but there are notes and documents that players find throughout the game. Check out short clips depicting combat and puzzle-solving shared by the developer:
LogDev also showed how the creative process was inspired by real-life dinosaur remains from a museum:
The release date is not scheduled yet.
