Color Matching Tool MagicTints 3 Released

Anastasiy Safari released MagicTints 3 – a new version of the color matching tool that transfers colors from one picture to another in one click preserving the original contrast and illumination.

MagicTints 3 can now match and replace specific colors: you just need to select target color areas directly in the image in the Color Palette dialog, and the tool will assign palette colors to those areas.

You can now adjust LUT strength when generating LUT instead of applying color correction, without using third-party editors and creating new transparent layers.

Other general changes include the ability to cancel color correction at any time, edit existing color palette references, and rename image references by double clicking their names.

MagicTints now also supports "all modern image formats", including PSD, SVG, TIFF, and TGA: as references in all versions of the program and as the main image in the standalone edition.

Speaking of which, the standalone version got a bunch of improvements, including the ability to color-match several images to the same color reference, sample colors for Palette Color Reference from the original image, and preview image references.

The Photoshop plug-in got a nice improvement too: you can now specify existing document layers as color reference images.

MagicTints 3 is available for Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign CC 2014+ on Windows and macOS and as a standalone edition for Windows 8+ and Mac OS X 10.8+. You can purchase it here for $59.
