A significant change in management has been announced by Creatures Inc., the Japanese company that owns a portion of The Pokémon Company and is responsible for one of its most significant sources of revenue.
According to the company's website, Tsunekazu Ishihara and Hirokazu "Hip" Tanaka have stepped down from their roles as CEO and President, respectively.
Following their resignation, Yuji Kitano has been appointed as the new CEO/President, succeeding Ishihara, and the position of Executive Vice President will now be held by Tomotaka Komura. The company has revealed these changes on its website, including the new roles and responsibilities of the new appointees.
Ishihara's resignation from his role as CEO of Creatures Inc. is noteworthy, as he is also the President of The Pokémon Company and is frequently featured as one of the prominent figures in Pokémon Presents. It is worth noting, however, that he remains the President of The Pokemon Company and there has been no indication that he will be stepping down from that role.
Ishihara founded Creatures Inc. in 1995 and established The Pokémon Company in 1998. Tanaka, a seasoned sound designer and composer, left Nintendo in 1999 to join Creatures Inc. and assumed the role of President in 2000. Additionally, Tanaka is recognized for creating music for the animated Pokémon series.
