Crysis Developer Crytek Makes Remote Work Option Permanent
The company noted that work on Hunt: Showdown and Crysis 4 stays "on track".
Hunt: Showdown
Crytek, the developer behind Hunt: Showdown and the Crysis series, announced on Tuesday that it will make the remote work option permanent for anybody on the staff who prefers it. The new model will be available for both current and future employees.
According to a press release, currently, about 80% of Crytek staff work from home with employees operating from the USA, India, Brazil, China, and the Philippines as well as across Europe. The company also stated that it has over 100 new positions across various disciplines and the majority of employees and candidates will be able to work from any place in the world "as long as they have a reliable internet connection".
The company, however, maintains its studios in Frankfurt, Germany, and Istanbul, Turkey so that those who do not wish to work remotely could return to the office.

Crytek also noted that certain roles which "require the use of exclusive in-house technology or positions where remote work would impact critical systems" will still have to work from the company's studios. Although it didn't specify which roles will not be qualified for the remote model.
The press release from the developer also emphasized that the work on games like Hunt: Showdown and the recently announced Crysis 4 will stay "on track, keeping pace with Crytek's pre-pandemic game productions".
