Custom Tool For Turning Patterns Into 3D Clothes
Check out 工房奥谷's project.
This is a 3D app where you can create patterns, turn them into clothes, and dress a virtual torso, kind of like Marvelous Designer. It's being developed by 工房奥谷, who uses Karada3D for body scans. Here's how he describes the tool:
"This app is essentially a 3D CAD tool, which simply swaps out the UI to display only the parameters that can be adjusted and changed. As well as replacing the torso, you can tweak things like skirt length or sleeve length to customise it to your preferred design. It takes measurements of the torso using a method similar to triangulation, so one of its key features is that it can produce patterns that are more accurate than ever before." (machine-translated)
Unfortunately, information about this project is available only in Japanese, but the developer has mentioned that the app will support English.
