DaVinci Resolve and Octane X Are Coming to iPad Later This Year

Apple has announced that video editing, effects, and color grading software DaVinci Resolve and GPU renderer Octane X will be available on iPad and iPad Pro "later this year."

During Tuesday's launch of Apple's 2022 iPad and iPad Pro, the company revealed that video editing, effects, and color grading software DaVinci Resolve as well as GPU renderer Octane X are coming to its tablets later this year.

In the announcement video, Apple is positioning its latest iPad Pro as a professional video production tool that can be strengthened by such powerful apps as DaVinci Resolve and Octane X that can now run on iPad tablets.

DaVinci Resolve, the latest version of which, 18.0, was released a few months ago, was previously only available on desktop systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.

Meanwhile, the version of Octane X for iPads is not much of a surprise as Otoy, the developer of the software, already announced the release of the renderer for iOS three years ago along with the macOS version. Octane X for macOS was released in 2021, however, the company didn't reveal the release date for the iOS edition.

Apple didn't specify when DaVinci Resolve and Octane X will release on iPads, only saying that the apps will be available "later this year."
