LogInBlackmagic Design has released DaVinci Resolve and Fusion Studio 19 public betas, bringing digital film quality to live stream work, including new AI-based video editing and audio mixing tools, a new replay system and a rotoscoping tool, and enhanced USD workflow support.

Recently, Blackmagic Design has launched new public betas of DaVinci Resolve and DaVinci Resolve Studio, the free and the paid versions of its color grading, visual effects, and audio post-production video editing software, along with a public beta version of the Fusion toolset.
While most of the DaVinci Resolve Studio features are catered to high-end digital film customers, DaVinci Resolve 19 also aims to facilitate access to professional film editing features and quality for broadcasters, with the new color correction, editing options, and AI-powered tools.

DaVinci Resolve 19 introduces powerful new DaVinci Neural Engine AI tools, including text-based timeline editing, voice separation, and UltraNR for spatial denoising. The new IntelliTrack AI is optimizing tracking and stabilization in the color and Fusion pages and can also be used in Fairlight to track on-screen subjects and automatically generate audio panning within a scene, saving time and producing more immersive audio.
Color Page, DaVinci Resolve Studio's color correction toolset, now includes ColorSlice, the six-vector palette to produce cinematic images with film-like tones, providing controls for the RGB or CMY vectors of the image. Parameters in each customizable vector slice let you enhance and deepen color without spilling in a naturally pleasing way.

However, the most prominent DaVinci Resolve Studio 19 features aimed at live broadcast work were made to the editing toolset.
DaVinci Resolve now supports real-time selection of live camera recordings for instant replay to air with slow motion and stingers. The Cut page's Multi-Source is the fastest way to see your cameras and edit the timeline while the cameras are still recording in a multiview screen to look for any point of interest.
When watching live cameras, capture the moment with a Point of Interest marker. The POI is placed on all the clips simultaneously so you can quickly find the event on every camera angle, play them to air, and even automatically build a highlights timeline.

VFX artists in Fusion Studio, which is available inside DaVinci Resolve, now have an enhanced set of USD tools and a new MultiPoly rotoscoping tool.
MultiPoly displays all of your masks in a single list, eliminating switching between nodes, perfect for accurately rotoscoping complex objects. You can view, select, add to, and modify specific shapes, toggle their visibility, and adjust parameters all from one location.

Neural Engine's IntelliTrack point tracker for tracking objects or stabilizing footage is also available in Fusion. Additionally, Fusion Studio 19 now supports DaVinci Resolve's FX Surface Tracker and FX Object Removal options.
USD data such as geometry, lighting, cameras, materials, and animation can now be imported into Fusion. The new USD tools and nodes let you manipulate textures directly in a USD scene and re-light and render files using Hydra-based renderers such as Storm.
