Days Gone Director Jeff Ross Is Joining Crystal Dynamics
Days Gone director Jeff Ross announced he had joined Tomb Raider creator Crystal Dynamics as design director.
Days Gone director Jeff Ross announced he had joined Crystal Dynamics, the creator behind Tomb Raider and Marvel's Avengers. The game director shared the news on Twitter saying that he had taken the position of a design director, although he didn't reveal for which project. "That's all I can say other than I'm thrilled with the project, and especially the team of really wonderful people," wrote Ross.
Apart from the ongoing development of Marvel’s Avengers, only two games that are being developed at Crystal Dynamics are known at the moment including Perfect Dark, which is being made in collaboration with The Initiative, and the next Tomb Raider which was recently announced by the studio. It's currently unclear whether Ross is involved in the production of any of the already announced titles.
Until his departure at the end of 2020, Jeff Ross, along with writer/director John Garvin, was one of the key people at Sony's Bend Studio that was responsible for the development of Days Gone. Ross joined the company almost at its founding and worked there for about 20 years.
