"New icon to avoid legal trouble."
As Delta, a well-known Nintendo emulator immediately became the top downloaded app right after Apple lifted its ban on game emulators, you'd expect it would face trouble from Nintendo, often pursuing legal action against those who allegedly violate its copyrights, especially emulators.
This time, Adobe contacted Delta's developers asking to change the app's logo so it wouldn't violate the company's rights, as Delta's logo was considered to be too similar to Adobe's "A":
Delta told TechCrunch, that it first received an email from Adobe's lawyer on May 7 and they waited for the response until May 17, after which Delta received a second email from Apple stating that Adobe asked Apple to take down the Delta app for infringing on its trademark. Delta replied to both companies, explaining that its icon was a stylized Greek letter delta, not an "A", but that it would update the logo anyway.
The current "broken triangle" logo is reportedly just a temporary one and the team is still working on a new logo, planning to launch it with the Delta 1.6 release.
